After months of collecting materials, grinding raid bosses, and helping the blue dragon flight, hopeful raiders gathered in Stormwind to see their champion awarded with Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest. Excitement was high as the Dragonflight arrived to complete the final stages of the legendary quest.
Unbeknownst to the participants, though, Kalecgos had been infected with a terrible zombie-like-virus that drove him to hunger for the flesh of his own kind. Moments after receiving the completed staff, Tsilyi, Champion of Balance of Power, used it to transform himself into Tarecgosa's visage and was immediately set upon by the crazed Kalecgos. This was the only picture taken before the crowd scattered from the carnage that ensued.

What, exactly, does Balance of Power do?
Allow me to set the stage, curious reader.
There we were, ten battle-scarred champions, gathered together at the pinnacle of Icecrown Citadel. It was a night not unlike many others before: we convened to throw our weary collective against this seemingly insurmountable wall of a challenge. However, it was also an evening set apart at the outset - it was to be our final night to gather atop that icey prison. This was to be our one last effort before we are plunged into the uncertainty of what The Shattering will bring.
And raiders, I am proud to say that we made it into so much more.

Congratulations to all of you who made this (sometimes literally) dreamed-of kill, into a reality.
You have shown exactly what it is that Balance of Power does: we kick ass.

As we all know, Cataclysm is looming on the not-so-distant horizon. With it, we are looking at a whole boatload of changes to the way a guild operates.
The news post here previously was rather long-winded, detailing all sorts of features and rumors of The Fanciness To Come. However, it was also put up over six months ago, and was no longer entirely accurate. While I could do oodles of searching, linking and summarizing, I am terminally lazy, and quite sure that only a small fraction of you care for all the gorey details. I also trust that you of the lesser percentage can handily find this information on your own.
For those only interested in the quick n' dirty, I present this edition of The Weekly Marmot; a video blog series released by Lore of Tankspot e-fame. It is not exhaustive by any stretch, but I believe the high points are hit nicely.
Enjoy, BoPers! If you have anything to add or correct, please do so in the comments.
